One recovery attempt was made from the drive from a local computer store. They said there was platter damage and they did not have the required tools to extract data from the drive in that instance. The drive has been opened. They recommended sending it to a more capable specialist.

Toshiba MK8026GAX 80 GB laptop

From Customer's order

I was working on my laptop, when it gust shout off and would no turn on again. I took it to a computer store inn down to get them to look at it. I took the dive out to get some info off of it. I gave the drive back to the shop and while the "technician" was doing some stuff on it he dropped the dive and now I can't get it work. No computer can see the drive or get it to boot. Please help!
