Drive DOESN'T SPIN; failed in OS. I've only tried to hook it up to another PC as a slave drive to retrieve. The drive is recognized in the BIOS, but does not show up in Windows.

Drive is failed in OS. Drive was loading latest Anti-Virus software and on reboot did not complete booting. Would not be recognized as having a system. BIOS recognizes the drive; however when slaved to another machine Windows does not recognize it. R-Studio was run with minimal recovery of data. Drive was never opened. Drive has original parts. No firmware recovery attempts. Maxtor Powermax was run with result of drive going bad.
